About my latest book, Luvable Lucinda: "Jacob and the bullies"

Lucinda and Tarance were princess and prince of Fantasia Forest.  An unfortunate event turns Lucinda into a witch who can't remember her magic spells and Tarance into a "tarmantula" (half human and half tarantula).  Lucinda and Tarance must do 10 good deeds to break the spell of the Dark Witch before they can go home to Fantasia Forest.  When one morning they witness their neighbor and friend Jacob being bullied by two classmates, they immediately know what their good deed will be. Unfortunately, Lucinda can't remember her magic spells and Tarance is stuck in his tarmantula body!  Can they get to Calamity Elementary School in time to help Jacob?  Read about the many disasters Lucinda creates before they get to Calamity Elementary School and how Tarance teaches the two bullies a lesson!

About the Author
Mariette grew up on a farm at the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountains in picturesque South Africa. As a child she loved reading and writing short stories and poems. After leaving South Africa at the age of 25, Mariette traveled and lived in Africa, South America, Europe and Asia.  She speaks English, Afrikaans and Dutch. Mariette now lives with her family, two Golden Retrievers and a cat in Strongsville, Ohio. She is currently writing a young adult fiction novel that takes place in South Africa that she is very excited about, as well as the second book in the "Luvable Lucinda" series. This is Mariette's first children's picture book.
